AM-Flow to unveil next gen AM-QUALITY at Formnext 2024 | VoxelMatters - The heart of additive manufacturing

AM-Flow, a leader in automated solutions for additive manufacturing, will be releasing the next gen of the AM-QUALITY system for rapid quality control at Formnext 2024.

Based on the original system introduced at Formnext 2022, the next gen AM-QUALITY represents the ultimate in automated in-line quality control for traditional and additive manufacturing, offering unparalleled speed, accuracy, and adaptability. It is designed to support production environments where precision is non-negotiable.

The concept driving the AM QUALITY system is that it feeds all generated data back to the MES system of clients, enabling immediate reprints when necessary and optimizing the setting parameters of the 3D printers and post-production equipment.

The next generation of AM-QUALITY is designed to deliver accurate and efficient automated in-line quality control. It conducts comprehensive scans with a 50 μm accuracy, capturing even the smallest details of each part. Capable of identifying issues such as breakages, warping, and surface defects, AM-QUALITY enables early detection and correction of sub-quality prints directly during production.

AM-Flow’s patented technology adapts to infinite geometries, seamlessly integrating into any production line. The system performs rapid OK/Not OK evaluations within a 5-second takt-time, with the option to generate full metrology reports, and is capable of inspecting up to 720 products per hour. Utilizing eight high-speed CMMs, AM-QUALITY generates accurate 3D scans compared to nominal digital-source files (such as STL, STEP, and CAD), ensuring thorough assessments of every part.
